Prof. Dr. Muzaffer M. Degertekin

Muzaffer M. Degertekin, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC is a Professor of Cardiology and Head of Cardiology Department at Istanbul Yeditepe University Hospital, Turkey. Prof. Degertekin is completed his PhD in 2003 at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He has published over 100 articles in leading medical journals and has over 5000 citations. His h-ndex 36 and RG score is 42.13. Prof. Degertekin’s current researches are focused on coronary stents, intravascular imaging, MSCT coronary imaging and heart valve interventions.

Besides clinical cardiology, Prof. Degertekin performing coronary intervention, complex coronary (Left Main-CTO) procedures and structural heart procedures TAVI, Mitra-Clip as well.

Prof. Degertekin is Vice-president of Turkish Society of Cardiology He also served as a Board member of European Society of Cardiology for the period of 2010-2012.
